As part of Outubro Rosa, the Municipality and the Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro promote the Charity Walk 'Vive a Vida', following the Trilho das Fontes to the Zona Verde da Fajã Grande. The initiative also includes awareness actions led by the Unidade de Saúde da Ilha de São Jorge.
