Short answer
You can visit the islet by taking a short boat trip from Vila Franca do Campo harbour, but access is limited and regulated. The islet is a nature reserve, so visitor numbers are capped and you must stay on marked paths. In summer, boats run regularly; outside summer, trips may be less frequent.
